You
ever see KRS-ONE rip a microphone live? Have you ever witnessed
Big Daddy Kane bend syllables on stage and taunt the crowd
with complex metaphors? This is just a small portion of what
you will catch on the Hip-Hop Peace & Unity Fest concert
DVD brought to you by inebriated rhythm. This landmark concert
unites some of the living legends in hip-hop and a rowdy crowd
of 40,000 all chanting as b-boys battle it out over a live
classic hip-hop soundtrack.
This amazing concert DVD features premium hi-definition footage
shot from 6 angles and brought to you in true Hip-hop form.
It features not only legendary acts like KRS-ONE, Big Daddy
Kane and PMD but also emerging talent like Shuman, Insight
& The Electric Company. Clocking in at just under 2hr
30mins, this DVD plays out more like a visual mixtape of authentic
Hip-hop. No filler here. Just the meat and potatoes of a concert
that was 100% certified dope.
This festival, clearly aimed at bringing positive, socially
conscious hip-hop out of the clutches of the mainstream and
back to the people is a welcome change over the negative images
and influences that routinely plagued urban music. On this
particular day, Hip-Hop was liberated and unity reigned. In
2004, expect this event to surface in both Toronto & Boston
on August 14th and October 9th respectively. And although
the rosters will differ, the energy will be the same and over
80,000 fans will become a part of the movement.
The limited edition Live audio CD is available in select
